Its a great song, ( and i guess this is techno ;) ).
it is a realy cool song which deserved an 8 or 9, maybe even 10.
there is only one REALY REALY big point that i dont like in your song.

it has HUGE distortion.
each sample is suffering distortion in your song.
you can prevent this by decreasing the overall sound. ( your master FX ).
if this doesnt help. then decrease the bass the kick is giving.

anyway, its a cool song if you decrease the distortion.
so here's a 4/5.,

Hey thanks for the review! I totally agree with the distortion, when I opened it up on Sound Forge the whole song was basically one big block of sound. Ill admit I was a bit lazy because I couldave probably gone back and taken the bass EQ down a bit and put some compressors here and there, but ill probably re-upload with a bunch of changes, thanks again!

Good :D

It was realy cool, i liked the buildup.
but there were a few things that distracted me from the song.

1. Your main lead. ( main melody )
The melody wasn't smooth. it was a bit uncontroled, and the melody tunes
started to late sometimes.

2. Your bass.
The buildup was very cool. but some tunes of the bass were an octave to high,
And thats not so cool in a song where the bass is pretty important :p.

But all of the other aspects were just PERFECT ;).

(P.S sorry for my bad explaination, but i suck at the english grammar, and i know to few words to explain with details. ( however i tried to ;) )

I used 'gold saw' for the melody, and 'hypersaw pluck' for the buildup. Bassline was 'electric' from the Bass category. these are ALL in Sytrus.

Normally im not writing reviews for audio submissions.
But you sound like a nice guy who gives an answer on reviews.
i like that, so here's a quite big review.

It started a bit strange. the sounds were chopped, and weren't synchropated so very well. also it started like a hardstyle / hardcore genre. but after the crossover it was cool ^^. try to make the crossover a bit longer and smoother next time.

The melody is realy cool. and the sytrus thingy in it sounds great to.
the melodie's arent famillar with me though. what music program did you used ? if you used Fruityloops, then im very impressed xD. if you used another kind of program im still impressed ofcourse.

im currently listening at 1.54.
its getting a bit repetitive, and even quite boring now. i would change the melody line a little bit. on 2.14 you ARE changing the melody a bit, with adding another kind of melody / chord. but after 2.45 you started over with the first melody again :/ .

in short :

The melody and sounds are well balanced, and they have the right volume.
also the choise of the melody is great, and its pure trance ;).
my opinion is to variate a trance melody atleast 2 times. ( 3 times recommended)
else its getting boring.

but the overal score is 5/5 8/10 DOWNLOAD ;)

also check my songs sometime.
(they suck) but atleast try it.

3. This is an older song of mine. If you listen to a newer song of mine, it doesn't get as repetive as my older stuff. To me, this is my first breakthrough song. I'm actually this song made it to the top when my other songs didn't...

geez >.< its almost perfect

Fantastic, its almost perfect. its far the best Trance song i ever heard on NG.
its almost perfect because of the GREAT variations and great buffer times in your song. just when its starting to get boring, its changing rythm or song.
that and the fantastic instruments you've used, are making the perfect balance in a trance song. there is only one QUITE BIG part in the music, what is quite annoying. im a guy with a nice surround system with a good bass.

The prob in your track is that the amount of bass given in the mainbass, is variating from lots of bass, to almost NO bass. i dont know what plugin you used for it, but its annoying. you should keep a straight bass amount in the music.

( ill try to explain )

you are variating the bass from a good bass to a strange kind of high pass.
( its like the fruity love filter plugin in fruity loops )
i dont know what it is, but its sucking away the bass a bit ^^
i cnt fully concentrate on your track when this is happening :P

but that's the only problem in this whole track !!
again : this is the BEST trance song i ever heard of on newgrounds ^^
keep going like this ! you have potential ;)

I don't have that problem here, at least I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to. While listening I have noticed the bass goes lower in volume as it goes down in tone, but that's the fault of the instrument really, but then again I'm not sure if that's what you mean. I can always try to fix this later if it's not an isolated problem!

Aside from that - I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it that much. :D I'm always happy when people write long reviews explaining the faults, constructive critiscm is one of the best roads towards improvement, having said that, I will definitely take a deeper look into what you explained mate. :)

Oh crap :S, you aren't building up at all :S
your starting with almost no instruments, after that your using almost all instruments, and 20 secs later you're using 1 instrument again :S

Sometimes the ears need to bleed to hear the truth! Yeah I know what you mean by it being a random song. Originally, I wanted this song to be nothing, but drums, and than half way through the song I decided I wanted to throw some instruments, guess that was a bad idea. This was a good review, this was kind of thrown together towards the end also.

the bass is overwhelming your melody,
and the melody is to "wet".

the second melody is good !

The cross-overs are good. so this wil be a 7 ;)

Its a nice song for background music.
i couldnt listen to long to this though, however i couldnt listen long anyway, its only 1.39 secs. that's a bit short. maybe you could increase the length ?
